Engineers Australia Assessment body accepts TOEFL score starting from January 1st 2016

From 1st January 2016, the Engineers Australia would be accepting the TOEFL as an alternative English language test inorder to address the English language competency element of the migration skills assessment.

The applicants submitting their application on or after 1st January 2016 would be able to provide either the IELTS test result form with a score of 6 or more in each of 4 modules or TOEL iBT result with the following minimum scores for each module.

• Listening: 12
• Reading: 13
• Writing:    21
• Speaking: 18

All the applicants require uploading the test results as well as required to write their registration number. The TOEFL results would be accepted up to 2 years after the test date.

On 1st January 2016, the Engineers Australia would close all the open assessment application based on the paper based file and would stop further processing of the paper based applications.

If you have lodged a paper-based application and have received a request for additional documentation. Please provide the requested additional documentation before 1st January 2016.

The application left incomplete after 1st January 2016 would be closed. The applicants would require lodging a new online application to get an assessment.

If you have already got an assessment based on a paper-based application and would like to apply for the additional assessment for your work experience and overseas Ph.D. Then while you apply you must follow the process of paper-based application before 1st January 2016.

After this date, the applicants seeking the additional assessment of their relevant work experience or additional Ph.D. would have to lodge a full application online and request for the fee of the standard assessment to be refunded. Assessment outcomes form paper application does remain valid.
