What is Australia Immigration Skills Assessment?

Skilled workers planning to immigrate to Australia have to apply for points tested skilled migration visa for which one has to nominate an occupation on the skilled occupation list at the time of invitation.

The applicants have to provide evidence that his or her skills have been evaluated by a relevant authority to determine that they are found suitable for their nominated occupation.

The validity of Australia immigration skills assessment is applicable till the date of expiry as mentioned on the assessment, or when there is an elapse of three years applicable from the issuance date, whichever happens first.

Doctors have to provide certain certificates as evidence of complete registration to present that they are found suitable of their nominated occupation.

Who can do Australia Immigration Skills Assessment?

The entire list of appropriate assessing authorities for each of the occupations mentioned in the list are provided in the skilled occupation list and   consolidated sponsored occupation list

Each of the assessing authority has their procedure of assessment, charges and time. The responsibility lies on the applicant to approach the relevant assessing authority for the occupation nominated and get the assessment of skills.

How to get your Australia Immigration Skills Assessed?

The assessing authority will necessitate an individual to have his or her qualification at the post graduate level.

However in smaller occupations it is sufficient to have a suitable work experience. Each of the assessing authority will advice an individual on the required qualifications, depending on the occupation being assessed.
