Points are awarded for a doctorate degree from an Australian university or another doctorate from approved standard, a bachelor’s degree from an Australian university or another degree from an approved standard, Diploma or trade qualification pursued in Australia or qualification or award approved by an authority of assessment in the review of the skilled occupation.

Besides, individuals interested to immigrate to Australia for employment are also awarded points for Australian study requirement, other factors and Nomination or sponsorship.

Points under Australian study requirement can be gained if the applicant has one or more degrees, diploma or trade qualification for honor through course or courses pursued in educational institutions of Australia.

Points are also awarded for other factors such as having a credentialed community language, regional Australia studies, partner skills, completing a professional year in Australia.

Applicants gain the eligibility to file applications for Australian immigration by scoring a minimum of 60 points against these factors.
