ETA (Business Entrant) (Subclass 956 and 977)

The ETA (Business Entrant) Subclass 956 Visa is for long-term Business Visits, and Subclass 977 is for short-term Business Visits.

With Business Visitor Visa (Subclass 977), within a year from the date of issue, you can visit and stay in the country for 3 months in either multiple or single visits.

With Business Visitor Visa (Subclass 956), during the life-time of the visa, you can make multiple visits to the country and each visit can last for a maximum of 3 months.

The eligibility criteria for ETA are: Living in a country other than Australia and having an eligible ETA Passport.

E-Visitor (subclass 651) Visa

  • You can apply for this visa if you want to visit Australia for business and touring.
  • With this Visa, you can stay in the country for 3 months on every visit within one year of issuance of the Visa.
  • The eligibility criteria for E-Visitor Visa are: Living in a country other than Australia and having an eligible ETA Passport.

Business (Short Stay) (Subclass 456) Visa

  • If you want to visit Australia on a short-term business purpose, you can apply for the Business (Short Stay) (Subclass 456) Visa.

This visa allows you to:

  • Visit Australia several times within the Visa’s validity period
  • Make business visits to Australia
  • Bring  your partner with you
  • Stay for three months on every visit

Having a valid passport is the only eligibility for this Visa and Sponsorship is not required.

Sponsored Business Visitor (Short Stay) (subclass 459) Visa

People who are not eligible for eVisitor or ETA can apply for Sponsored Business Visitor (Short Stay) (Subclass 459) Visa. For this Visa, you need to have an approved Australian Sponsor.

With Sponsored Business Visitor (Short Stay) (Subclass 459) Visa, you can

  • Visit Australia several times within the Visa’s validity period
  • Make business visits to Australia
  • Bring  your partner with you
  • Stay for 3 months on every visit

To be eligible for Sponsored Business Visitor (Short Stay) (subclass 459) Visa:

  • You must be living outside Australia
  • You must have an approved  Australian Sponsor
  • State the business activities you intend to do
  • State the business
  • State your professional  and educational qualifications

Your sponsor has to provide:

  • Details of registration of conference
  • The letter of invitation
  • Employment contract
  • Contact details of other parties involved
  • Letter stating intention  of visit

APEC Business Travel Card

APEC Business Travel Card is designed to improve and streamline Australia’s open and free trade with Asia-Pacific region. This Card is in the size of a Credit Card. It allows several short-term Visits for 3 years and each visit can last for 2-3 months.

A lot of valuable time can be saved with APEC Business Travel Card. You do not have to apply for individual visa and permits for every visit.

The card is valid for 3 years.
