New Skilled Migration Stream in Western Australia promises good opportunities
29 Sep 2018
Western Australia recently introduced a new Graduate stream for the Skilled Nomination
subclass 190 visa and Skilled Regional (Provisional)
subclass 489 visa. It is expressing great support to
skilled migration. Moreover, the reality today is that skilled migration is becoming highly competitive, and there are limited alternative options, in the migration of student graduates. This will be a welcome pathway for them.
Western Australia Graduate Stream
Moreover, in the past, applicants seeking Western Australia nomination, needed to go through the General stream. Furthermore, they had to first nominate, an occupation on the Skilled Migration Occupation List of Western Australia. This list is available to medical professionals, and brought less number of migrants to the state.
With effect from 25th September 2018, applicants who seek nomination, in a non-medical occupation, have an opportunity to do this, in the state in the Graduate Stream.
The Graduate stream has a benefit. It offers a long list of occupations, in a variety of industries. There is room for ICT specialists, Professionals, Medicals and Engineers, also.
Requirements of Graduate Stream
The qualifying norm is that the applicants must be university graduates, who completed their full time studies, for 2 years in a WA university and can nominate an occupation, existing on the new Graduate Occupation List, for 190 or
489 visa.
Masters and PhD graduates can nominate any occupation on the List, while such students who complete a Bachelor, Bachelor Honors Degree, Graduate Diploma, or Graduate Certificate, can nominate some from that list.
The additional requirements are:
• English language requirements:
